It fits like crazy. And the embarrassment that the Eleventh shows when Idris declares that she is sexy. He gives the exact sort of embarrassed look that Hartnell always gave at awkward moments.
I did not take issue with embarrassment. Just the word choice.
When you consider how much Hartnell got around with the ladies outside of his roles, and then consider that all characters that actors play are just extensions of themselves, it’s not only plausible but probable.
And he’s a Gallifreyan. They didn’t says stuff like “sexy” in the 1960s on earth, but Gallifrey? Maybe they did.

I just want to point out that the TARDIS says “I think you call me… sexy!” Of course, she didn’t put the emphasis on...
